Did you know that you can earn NWAG swag and even a free AIARE Level 1 or Level 2 by volunteering with NWAC?

Volunteers are an essential part of the NWAC team. We rely on volunteers to help run fundraising events like Snowbash and NSAW, engage in community outreach through Trailhead Outreach events, and support staff with office tasks and special projects. In an effort to show our appreciation for our outstanding volunteers, NWAC implemented a volunteer give-back program in the 2023/24 season. The program was met with enthusiasm from the community and we are thrilled to continue the program this season.

Volunteers who give the following hours in a season are eligible for the indicated give-back:

  • 12+ Hours: NWAC hat or t-shirt
  • 20+ Hours: NWAC eqpd bag
  • 30+ Hours: AIARE Level 1 or AIARE Level 2 or Guided Ski Day

You can sign up for volunteer opportunities directly on our website. All volunteer hours are tracked by NWAC and can be viewed in your volunteer portal.

Planning to volunteer 30 hours or more this season? Below we’ve listed the dates for the avalanche courses and guided ski day to help you plan your season.

  • Rec Level 1: March 4-9 (T/Th eve virtual classroom, Sat/Sun field days Snoqualmie Pass)
