Weather Synopsis for Tuesday night through Friday
We're in the middle of a warm and dry stretch of weather. On Tuesday, several of our mountain weather stations recorded temperatures in the 40's and a few sites even hit the low 50's. Look for temperatures to be even warmer on Wednesday. Several mountain locations could see the highest freezing levels they've experienced in quite a long time, with some sites exceeding 10,000'. A high-pressure ridge in the eastern Pacific will nudge inland on Wednesday and bump out the cool northwesterly flow. As a result, most locations will see sunny skies, calm winds, and hot temperatures.
Clear skies Wednesday night should allow the surface to cool slightly even as the airmass above warms. This means you may feel warmer as you ascend in elevation with weak temperature inversions developing. Thursday appears very similar to Wednesday. Expect sunny skies, light winds, and even hotter temperatures as the high-pressure maintains the warm dry pattern.

Extended Weather Synopsis for Friday night through Friday
The overall pattern doesn't change too much as we head into the early part of the weekend. The high-pressure in the eastern Pacific appears staunchly in place. A weak weather disturbance should pass to our north, flattening the ridge slightly. While some weather models try to bring light precipitation into the Northwest with this system, it looks to be more of a cloud producer than a snowmaker. The biggest impacts Friday night/Saturday should be cooler temperatures, cloudier skies, and increasing winds.
