Weather Synopsis for Thursday night through Friday
The Pacific Northwest will experience increasing, generally above normal temperatures and quiescent weather through the forecast period giving our region the first period of spring-like weather this season. Light generally easterly flow throughout the forecast period will result in slightly warmer temperatures west of the Cascade Crest than to the east. We're far enough into springtime, that we don't expect inversions or low clouds to be associated with the easterly flow.
A building ridge will push the remnants of a weakening frontal boundary NE, spawning some very light precipitation over the Olympics and Mt. Baker areas during the evening hours. Mid and high-level clouds across the region are expected to decrease from south to north overnight allowing for radiational cooling and freezing levels dropping to near pass level. Mostly clear skies are expected on Friday. A gradual warming trend will continue with freezing levels reaching Cascade Crest level by late in the day in many areas. Diurnal cooling will help lower temperatures east of the Cascade Crest and through the passes Friday night.
Saturday will feature even warmer weather than Friday, with some high clouds arriving ahead of a weakening frontal system approaches the coastline late in the day.

Extended Weather Synopsis for Friday night through Friday
Saturday night, the models differ regarding a weakening frontal system that appears to be a repeat of Thursday's weakening frontal system. Some models have light moisture impacting NW Washington while other models dissipate the moisture before it gets to the coast.
A ridge builds quickly behind the frontal remnants Sunday through Monday, amplifying along the west coast and then cutting off over the Pacific Northwest, giving the region our warmest temperatures of 2019. East flow will increase into the moderate range Sunday night and Monday.
