Comments:

At least 4 separate avalanches occurred within the Jan D4 avalanches debris field. The broken timber was from the D4 event. This "greased" track, likely allowed these avalanches to run further than they would have without the earlier slide.

You can see old gouging and new gouging from this avalanche on the W face of Kendall Peak.

The broken trees are from an earlier slide this winter, but the debris from this wet avalanche ran very far on the "greased" track.
