Firm morning conditions with warming temps by 1030. Solars started to get affect around then.
Generally spring ski like conditions with N aspects softening around 1300. By 1430 snow on solars was 5-6cm penetration when skiing.
Dug pit at 4,750ft on N aspect with HS 71cm.
Needle SH to 3mm sitting over MF crust.
P hardness layer over 4F that was at 60-65cm. Crystals were decomposing particles and round, 1mm.
Saw two distinct crusts at 48 and 42cm.
Bottom 20cm was 4F rounding depth hoar.
Generally, all layers showing rounds or rounding.
No new avalanches observed. Did not see any rollerballs.
Fairly low snow cover in some areas as shallow as 10cm.
