Observations

Warm day with clouds and brief periods of sunshine. For elevations below ~4000', a few cms of wet snow covered a breakable crust ~1-3cm thick. Below the crust was at least a foot of wet storm snow. At higher elevations the snow was much more supportive for travel.

Dug a pit at ~4600' SSE. 260cm HS. Layers were difficult to identify as moisture permeated the full depth of the pit. No result on CT.

Stuck to southern aspects and experienced mushy snow. Saw a few localized cracks and wet loose activity on steeps slopes in the surrounding areas.
