Observations

Took a novelty skin/ski in the hills east of the Columbia river. Skinned and skied on western aspect hoping sun would break down crust. The sun did indeed melt the 1/4” crust but not entirely. Skin penetration to boot top in skin track with somewhat preserved powder under an occasionally stout crust. The skiing wasn’t super easy but it was still fun! Great conditions to tire a doggy friend out.

With today’s warmth and now wind in the valley, one should definitely watch out for roofs shedding their snow load.
