Signs of Unstable Snow

Did you see shooting cracks? 
Yes, Isolated
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing? 
No

Observations

Observed wind slab on the ridge. After digging a small pit, 5cm wind slab propagated when freeing the column with no impacts.

Moved to a more windward aspect - conducted a hand shear. Observed sun/windcrust approximately 6cm down which was not bonded to snow below the crust.
