Observations

Another beautiful day.

Cold, with temperatures as low as 5F in little hollows/valleys at ~4k.

Snow had settled from yesterday's stellar quality, but still skied very nicely. Surface hoar was evident on open slopes, reaching ~5-7mm; some may have rounded a little in the sun, but not all.

Sun came out midmorning and stayed strong through early afternoon, adding sparkle to the turns and helping the surface snowpack to consolidate slightly.

Instability was limited to loose-dry sluffs, which were readily generated on steeper slopes. Will post again if anything significant appears in today's photos.

Tree bombs remain a persistent issue; they're beginning to have ice-chunks in them. When the wind kicks up, it'll be momentarily exciting.

We had our radios on the Source/Snow-lake community channel for much of the day, but didn't hear a peep. Give it a whirl, ears are listening.
