XC skied from Snopark along White River to junction with PCT/Timberline Trail for this observation.
Cold (15"); mild wind (8-10mph) ; White River just about all covered; care needed to avoid falling into river from steep embankment built from last 5 day snow/wind loaded event.
Hand dug snow pit: witnessed layers from recent last 5 days of activity: probe photo measuring input at trail junction; tree line showing drifting behind natural features; deep tree wells were also observed.
Lots of snow: stay safe and keep eye on daily conditions if traveling in back country areas.
