No rain crust in the valley bottom by the Cle Elum River lots of light pow. Encountered rain crust at about 4000.' There was about 4-6" of very fluffy fresh snow over a relatively light crust. New snow seemed well bonded to the crust, the crust was so light that it was very easily broken through and wasn't super hard to ski. Crust was gone by about 5200'. There were a few pockets of wind slab up by the ridge-line. Hand pits showed clean shears about 1' down in the deposit zones but the snow was very consolidated and didn't seem reactive. Seemed like wind had gone S to N in line with the ridge. Good skiing and good views.
