Yes

No
Avalanche Type:
Wet Slab
Size:
Size 1: Relatively harmless to people
Elevation:
4870
Aspect:
W
Comments:
Wet Slab, crown height aprox 30 cm, 30ft wide, skier triggered while descending a slope about 35 degrees, slid as a cohesive slab then crumbled apart into more of a loose wet slide. An ECT dug just before skiing showed no propagation along the column but nonconsolidated fractures at 29cm (ECTN 13 @29cm) deep along a rain crust, so loose wet slides were to be expected while skiing, but there was a cohesive slab that let loose.
Did you observe any avalanches?
Yes
Avalanche Type:
Wet Loose
Size:
Size 1: Relatively harmless to people
Elevation:
4880
Aspect:
SW
Comments:
Wet loose slide skier triggered, had a visible defined crown at top about 30cm deep, but was described as a loose wet slide by the individuals that saw it release or caused the release.
None reported
Temps were warmer than forecasted for 12/19/21, snowing lightly all day with minimal to no wind, snow was wet, falling out of trees early in the morning as unconsolidated "tree bombs" and increasing in frequency throughout the day, snow pack seemed to become noticeably wetter and heavier throughout the day. Roller balls developed on slopes 35-40 degrees around noon and later, a pit dug at 4869ft on west facing aspect on 40 degree slope showed total snowpack depth 90cm, two notable thin rain crusts at 30cm from top of snow pack, rest of snow pack was fist thickness.
