Triggered a soft slab avalanche , 100ft across 12-16 inches deep. The slab quickly dispersed and turned into a fast moving sluff, triggering an 10 inch slab to rip loose in lower elevator.

Observations

We observed some small 8-10 inch soft slab releases in the afternoon while ski cutting some steeper slopes. We suspect the failure was on the near surface facet layer, but did not inspect the layer closely.
