Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Measured 110cm of snow on top of Hyak. The upper ~80cm is unconsolidated and low density - skied great. There is a notable crust from the (12/11) rain on snow event with some moist (snowball) snow below it. It was interesting to see how much previous tracks were refilled by the unusual SE winds without sintering. Stronger winds were experienced at the top
