Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Skied crystal backcountry dropping off on the east side of Platinum Peak. A few layers easily detected in the snow, but no instability was noticed. Crust about 4 inches down was subtle on W facing slopes but more prominent on E facing slopes. Some wind effect with small wind layers in isolated areas. Snow was fantastic and deep for skiing.
