Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Deep unconsolidated snow pack made BC travel very challenging. Two experienced rider s spent Sunday night stuck in deep snow and highly experienced riders on SAR mission today found travel extremely difficult. Snow depths were 1 meter at 3700 feet and 2 meters at 5000. ECT tests were unremarkable and there were no signs of instability.
