Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

HS 30-90cm, minimal base below recent storm layer (0-20 cm), obvious buried rain crust. Above this crust, 1-3 ft of fresh, right side up snow, starting at 1F ending 4F/Fist. Top ~20 cm very light powder. Hand pit did not reveal any layers of concern. Excellent skiing conditions.

Lightly snowing all day, temps 24-30 deg, west winds 5-30 mph, some areas of obvious wind loading. Didn't go above 5900'
