Went for a few quick laps just out of bounds at Meadows to check out the recent snow. Stayed below tree line and skied some short slopes under 30 degrees. The snow didn't seem to be wind affected at all. We dug a pit on a NE aspect at 5500 ft, the height of snow was 140cm, all seeming to be from the most recent storms this week. This seemed to be a little deeper than other places where we observed closer to 100cm HOS. The top ~40cm of the most recent snow was pretty unconsolidated, below that the snow hardened to 4 finger consistently to the base. This was all sitting on a pretty solid crust. We observed a CTM at around 60cm at an interface in some of the more hardened storm snow, with an ECTN20 at the same spot.
