Observations

Ski conditions substantially exceeded expectation, with steady snowfall through the morning (and continuing as I write). The ski-quality image was made at ~3300' or lower. Pole penetration almost to the handle, skintracks mid-calf+ in places, and rather fine skiing. Rocks are now entirely non-issues -- holes and creeks remain hidden hazards.

Summit Groomers were quite active today at Central, compacting a rather spectacular acreage in short order. They were on a mission, and occasionally unpredictable; give 'em space.

During a lull in the snowfall, the peaks across the valley were visible -- no obvious crowns on my first look.

Ski-quality, even at very-low elevation today was quite good; a spectacular change from the day before.
