Weather: Cool temps, light snow and winds kept things moody as the Big One rolls into town. Wind transported snow (4F+) was seen on exposed ridges, upslope catching features, or below cliffs with light intensity. No ridge line plumes observed.
Snowpack: Numerous Hand Shears Mod-Hard down approx 35cm. Mostly planar BTL on northerlies. Planar NTL sw'ly. All of these were releasing below the December 7th freezing rain crust on varying stages of sintering facets. No grain size measured. Kick turn fractures were wind slabby ( approx 25cm thick) with no propagation in NTL(+) E-S-W (up to 6,000').
