Saw a large slab avalanche on the SE aspect of Heineken Peak south of Sloan Peak, about 20 miles from our vantage point.

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

HS 20cm, boot pen to ground. Only noticed snow older than 12/4 storm above 4900'. Widespread surface hoar.
