Saturday 11/20/21. On the south aspect of the El Dorado approach there was a 2 inch firm layer on top of very light powder between 5,200 and 6,200 feet. This firm layer was not well bonded to the snow below and slid easily. There were small roller balls on steeper slopes below trees and cliffs and some small D1 avalanches on slopes below steep cliffs. Above 6,200 feet was at least 10-12 inches of hero powder that made travel slow on snow shoes very slow but would have been epic to ski. Above 7,400 snow was quite windswept on the Inspiration Glacier. Warming on sunday 11/21/21 there was an increase in the amount of roller balls and the 2 inch firm layer was more bonded to the snow below.
