Observations

6 inches of wind blown snow on leeward face sitting above a rain crust. Giving way beneath board while riding but didn't seem to be cohesive enough of a slab to propagate. Snow pit test did show a planar collapse right on the rain crust.

Media

East facing slope above timberline lodge. Snowpit showed a rain crust about 6 inches below windblown snow.
