Our group of 7 toured up the Showcase run inbounds at Steven’s Pass. Avalanche terrain is still unmitigated in resort here. We conducted two test slopes, one at 30deg which didn’t move and another at 50deg which did slide. All snow was very heavy because storm snow was very wet — no propagation at test slopes gave us confidence in the bonding. Wet loose felt like the biggest concern of the day. Pretty marginal ski conditions, but fun to get out.
