Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

As noted in other observations, surprisingly deep crowns were observed on North aspects in the vicinity of Lake Ann. I assume these were at least several days old, but I am not certain when the slides occurred.

All aspects were quite soft by 9:00 a.m., but I observed little new avalanche activity.

Good coverage from Rainy Pass to Lake Ann at the moment. Ski conditions were very good very early morning Sunday 5/14 on the way out.
