Observations

We left the car at 6, snow was already sloppy and collapsing skintrack on anything moderately steep. A big avalanche came down the north bowl of the peak above Lake Ann and into the lake sometime recently, last day or so is our guess. We couldn’t tell what might have been the trigger, but from Maple Pass, it appeared the entire bowl slid. We saw a two other deep crowns and slides on the north ridge of Frisco, failed to get photos.
