Please look at the photo. I'm not confident enough in my assessment of the type/size of the avalanche. I was hundreds of feet away and scale is difficult to see without trees, but I would say the broken-off segment was maybe a meter tall. However, the snow debris doesn't look huge in comparison.

During a May 2 ski summit of St Helens via Worm Flows route with crossover to Monitor Ridge, I saw the remains of only one avalanche on an obviously very steep slope. Unclear to me how recent it was.
