Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

It was raining most of the day. It was raining from the base of Mission Ridge to the top of Chair 2 (6.8 k). Toward the end of the day the rain turned to a wet snow near the top of Chair 2. Visibility was poor enough that it was hard to truly assess if there was much recent avalanche activity. The skiing was surprisingly good, on the groomers, despite the rain.
