Observed Avalanches

Did you observe any avalanches?
Yes
Avalanche Type:
Wet Loose
Size:
Size 2: Could bury, injure, or kill a person
Elevation:
Lower
Aspect:
NE
Comments:
Multiple avalanches all day. Anything steep was rolling down naturally and if you pressed hard into anything steep it was gonna slide too. Heavy snow with it

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Lots of moisture in Alpental Valley. Light rain for most of the tour to top of snow lake. Avoided anything steep as multiple avalanches were seen and easily triggered. Saw start of glide avalanches on some slopes and snow was very heavy, easy to compress and sink in and tough to move in. Considerable day for sure
