We did a few laps on Jim Hill today. No noticeable wind slab formation where we traveled. Later in the day, we did dig a pit at 6000' on a NNW aspect. There was a density change between the most recent snow and snow from earlier in the weekend. We did find a layer with what appeared to be preserved surface hoar which measured up to 6mm 30cm down. This layer did shear in a planar fashion during a compression test. We also found a crust down 79cm that produced some results.
