Comments:
Dry snow had slabbed up from sun breaks when we descended at 330pm on the S face of Mount McCausland. Had a slab around 10 feet wide and 4 inches deep (estimated D1.5) to run on the hard crust below about 200 feet in length. No skiers were caught.

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Traveled on S faces up to 5700 feet. Snow was light on the approach with occasional snow showers until mid afternoon with poorer bonding on a hard crust above 5000k feet. Sun breaks warmed up the S facing snow and the descent was heavy when we started at 330.
