Size:
Size 2: Could bury, injure, or kill a person
Elevation:
5500
Aspect:

Comments:
Soft slab avalanche. D1-D2. Avalanche fractured mid slope approximately 20ft below us while we were traversing along the ridge. Avalanche broke between anchor points approximately 40-50ft at its widest point. Crown was approximately 35cm tall. The slide ran quickly on previous crust layer about 50 yards until it hit flats. Was big enough to carry a skier into trees or terrain traps. Had multiple other small fractures occur on similar aspect and steep slopes, but this was the largest.

Did you see shooting cracks?
Yes, Isolated
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
