Triggered several small soft slab avalanches on steep and/or convex terrain. Typically 5-15' wide, approx 10-12" deep

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

New snow was generally unconsolidated and it was easy to produce small sluffs and trigger the occasional soft slab. Slabs were running on some inter-storm layer, approx 2-3" above the most recent crust. Possibly graupel or just weak snow surface.

Snow showers on and off throughout the day. Lower elev snow was heavy by 2pm when we exited
