Came up through Kendall trees and skied down off of Kendall peak ridgeline this morning. We were out of the area by noon but there were few to no sun breaks, with no wet loose hazard observed as a result. Snow conditions were extremely aspect-dependent with a 1-2 inch crust on open S and SW aspects which vanished when traveling on even slightly more NW aspects. The snow in the trees was still very low density. We didn’t observe any instabilities even up towards the top of the ridgeline by Kendall peak, and although there were some visual clues of small pockets of wind transport we didn’t find any reactive wind slabs.
