Did an upslope test just below the summit of Bullion Peak. With one step out onto the leeward slope there was a shooting crack about 2 feet ahead of me and a D1.5 slab about 12-18” deep and 20-25 feet across released about 4-5’ below me and ran about 50 meters down slope (the slab was directly underneath a cornice, but the cornice remained intact).

Did you see shooting cracks?
Yes, Isolated
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?

Observations

Risky slopes seemed pretty obvious with significant easterly winds on the ridges with lots of obviously wind transported snow and wind texture easily visible.
