Observations

Attempted to approach Mt. Ellinor, but road is currently heavily snowed in. Snow exists at bottom of NF-24. We were able to drive 0.8 miles from the gate until we parked. Snow at parking spot was 30 cm deep and tree is down across road ~300 yards above. We skinned 2.5 miles from truck up road to ~2000 ft elevation where Snow was 80 cm deep on the road. There's ~5 cm of fresh wet snow over existing snowpack and saw some tree and rock shed due to warming, but no major instability observed. It's going to take some time for the road to melt out this spring.
