Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

We skinned up through the Phantom Trees to 5000 ft where it was extremely windy with heavy blowing snow. The open slope above us was wind scoured and lots of snow was being blown into the exit gully for the slot. We decided to stop there on suspicion the exit would have significant slab potential and possibly the slot too.
