Comments:
30’ wide and an 8-12” crown. This avalanche ran on the upper most crust, so it was all the snow since around 2/25. I didn’t have a magnifying loop to see whether the grains above the crust have faceted at all.

Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?

Observations

all steep features had dry loose potential. We viewed some dry loose that ran hundreds of feet. Wind slab on ridge line was reactive. The small avalanche we triggered was in open trees 300’ below the ridge line. Triggering it was somewhere between intentional and not intentional. Not a good test slope, but relatively small.
