Intentional cutting at the base of cliff band. Wind slab releasing 4-6 inches deep. 15-20 feet run length.

Observations

Original travel plan called for entering Great Scott Basin from Source Lake and getting eyes on Pineapple/Magnolia terrain. Crown observed between Magnolia Coulior and traverse to Bryant Coulior. After entering the basin we skied back down into Source Lake area near No Fog Bowl, greater shelter and excellent powder skiing below basin.

4304 feet
CTH 21 @ 66cm below surface
ECTP 21 @ 66cm below surface
(Failing on graupel layer ~10cm thick @ 66cm below surface)
Shovel shear test failed on this graupel layer.

Fist hardness down 75cm.
1 Finger hardness rest of pit.

INTERESTING:
Rounding facets @ 160cm resulted in Q1 shear SP
