Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Toured and skied into Private Idaho Bowl. Blustery day with the wind varied in direction. Found evidence of strong south winds forming slabs at West ridge crest. In the terrain, convex slopes were cross loaded and sported 10 cm storm slabs. On steeper terrain these would have run a bit if given a trigger. HTS : 220. Snow pit: ECTN, CT H on storm interface. 18" . Ski quality was excellent in sheltered zones.
