NE face of Humpack mtn,
Starting point is about 4100ft above 40 degrees, the path was 100ft wide and 600ft long,
Natural avalanche, 4-8 inches of soft snow slab breaking above the the icy sun crust bed surface, possibly happened this morning

Observations

Observed the debris of a natural avalanche running from 4100ft to 3500ft. The upper part of the slide was 40 degrees, the lower part was 35 degrees. The storm slab was 4-8 inches and not very well bonded to the icy sun crest bed surface.

The shooting cracks were not propagating. Test some small slopes above 40 degrees, the storm slab did not fail.

Mostly cloudy, west wind 5-10mph,
Strat light snow with many graupels at 4000ft (2pm)
