A busy day in one of Snoqualmie's quiet places. Happy to hear chatter on 6-7 today, though we met four other parties who weren't :).
Pencil/knife crust between 3400-4000' beneath the new snow made for difficult traversing, fortunately softening at higher elevations. 15-20cms of new snow bonded poorly to that crust, especially where that crust was firm. Skiing was quite fine.
NWAC nailed the forecast of sunbreaks, with occasional sunbeams and blue sky at mid-day. Snow showers from morning to afternoon contained quite a bit of graupel, frequently to 6mm in diameter.
