Observations

Timberline Ski Area below tree line at approximately 1300 hours and 5300ft elevation. Snow continuously fell throughout the day. Data showed approximately 13 inches of new snow since the night before. While riding, we performed ski cuts on Eastern aspects and visualized multiple soft slab avalanches run which pulled all the fresh snow from the day and the previous night down to the hard crust layer. Avalanches were large enough to move skiers if caught and could sweep them into gullies at the the bottom of treed runs. See attached photos.
