Signs of Unstable Snow

Did you see shooting cracks?
Yes, Widespread
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
No

Observations

Open terrain was wind affected. We saw cracking occuring on the uphill to Diamond Head, specifically around 4700ft and above. Small thin slabs would pop out on steeper terrain. Snow was crusty/icy in spots. In the trees it was generally dry and fluffy.

Low coverage in general in the area, especially below 4000ft.

Cornices formed around all peaks we travelled in (Diamond Head, Windy Knob, and Tronsen Ridge).
