Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Mostly stable conditions observed yesterday on West facing slopes up around 4-5k feet. Noticed some wind hammered snow up on ridge line but not much loading where we were. Dug some hand shears on slopes a that started getting sun and found a layer about a foot deep, slight slabbing as the sun was out through the day.

In open areas noticed facets shining in the sun. Picture attached
