Signs of Unstable Snow

Did you see shooting cracks?
Yes
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
No

Observations

Wind affect (wind pressed/sastrugi) above treeline on north aspects above 5700’ to 6200’ saddle east of The Castle. Also observed wind affected surface snow south of same saddle but didn’t travel far south due to surprising cloud bank midday. Low density surface snow (25-35cm) near and below treeline on north aspects. Questionably enough snowpack to adequately enjoy this high quality snow. Hs varied between 55-75cm between 4800-6200’
