Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Went up to practice avalanche rescue. A good three feet of snow was our reward for hiking to the top of the ridge. It mostly consisted of a thick crust that I often times didn't punch through when off my skis. Snow changed from south to north too. Icy in places

Otherwise the trail was pretty uncovered.
