Windslabs were the problem of the day. We dug a pit on the ridgeline and found none. We did see a little snow blowing off the trees and some active wind transport, but not enough to form any slabs on the surface.
In the pit, we did see a pencil-hard crust at the very bottom of the snowpack, but luckily saw no facets around it. All the new snow on top was right-side up and provided just enough coverage for some fun glade skiing!
