Large glide avalanches on steep S aspects above the summer trail to the lookout, and N slopes above the FS road.

We avoided these hazards by ascending the NW ridge rather than the summer trail. There is also some loose wet in the alpine on S aspects above hidden lake. We didn’t see any major cornice failures, and the NE slopes below the hut were reasonably firm. The hut was taken so we camped in the saddle below. Travel conditions were very “springy” below and near tree line.
