Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

At around 6,000’ on a north aspect we found a layer of faceted snow below 1F hard windslab from the last few storms 4/7 and 4/9). We had multiple difficult and non planer hand shears on the way up. We switched to booting at a certain point and I started punching through the slab, which prompted us to dig down. Did not observe any signs of instability otherwise.
